Grüß Gott!

Much has happened since my last entry! To begin, I've started my German language course. After 3 days, I feel like I've gotten a good feel for the language and hopefully with some practice I'll be able to start speaking some German! Turns out that there are plenty of really cool people in my German class and I've made some really good friends already. It's an incredibly diverse group of people and it's been really fun hanging out with them so far.

A few nights ago me and some friends (a Swedish guy named Dawid and an Australian guy named Szymon checked out a local hookah bar (for those of you who don't know, hookah is a way of smoking TOBACCO and it's really fun and social). Turns out the hookah was actually really good and we had a great time. We hung out for a few hours and then walked around Graz, carrying on and what not. We checked out some of the local pubs and most of them seemed really cool, except for the bartenders who were assholes. But I digress. Here's are some pictures from that night.

Hookah and Puntigamer: Great combo.
Soup of the day: Whiskey!
Last night, we decided to expand our group and had the brilliant idea to invite pretty much our entire German class to a hookah bar. Earlier that day after class, we had orientation and afterwards talked to everyone and picked a time to meet up. Me and some of the other guys grabbed a beer before hand and then headed over to the place. Turns out around 15-20 people ended up showing up and we had a really great time. It was a good chance for everyone to meet and get to know each other and to kick back and relax. Our group consisted of people from: Austria, Germany, Hungary, Turkey, Mexico, Columbia, Sweden, Slovakia and yes, I was the only American person there. Pretty fun group of people.

So it was another great time in Graz last night. Everything here has been amazing so far, and I haven't even been here for a full week! Making plenty of good friends and having wonderful experiences, beers and food everyday. Europe has been great so far, and it's only the beginning.

More to come!

Enjoy for now,

Eric
